1. Always start with a packing list

Firstly, on our travel packing tips and tricks, make a list. Packing baggage should always begin with a concrete list of what to pack. Yes. You should have a list of things to bring on your trip. How? Of course, by knowing the activities you will be doing. Packing sometimes depends on what are the things you will be doing during your drip. For example, if you are going skiing, you may pack the things for skiing.

To avoid stress about what to pack, check your itineraries. Day by day, check the things you may need. From there, you will have an idea of what to pack and bring.

So, grab a pen and paper (or prepare your notepad) and make a list of things to bring. That is the very first you have to do in packing for your next trip.

2. Gather all your things

Yes, for you to figure out how to position your favorite dress, collect all of the things you are bringing. Remember, get only the things you will be needing and using during your trip. If you are traveling for 2 days, there is no need to bring the whole wardrobe. That is too much. Don’t get overwhelmed in packing.

Remember that in packing, the lighter you carry, the better you move to your next destinations.

3. Bring the right bag

as part of your packing tips, preparing a necessary or needed bag is advisable. Make sure that your luggage is hard and strong enough to carry your stuff. You do not need a piece of very fashionable luggage. Instead, you need a strong one. You are not going to a fashion show. A durable and strong one is what you need.

Having the right bag is important and a must. Select a bag that can carry your clothes and stuff.

If you are traveling for a day or two, you don’t need XXL luggage. Maybe a good backpack would be enough. Of course, if you’re traveling with your family, you’ll need larger luggage, or if you’re backpacking, you’ll need a good and heavy weighted backpack.

4. Roll your clothes

One of my best luggage packing tips is for you to simply roll your dresses! I know it is a hassle, but it is also worth it. Some of you for sure have heard and been practicing this. If not yet, then it is time to fold and roll your clothes.

Rolling your clothes makes you save a lot of space.

5. Use Magical Compression Bags

An alternative to rolling clothes is magical compression bags. Using a compression bag surely saves you some space on your luggage. Moreover, it is easier to see your items with a clear compression bag. Not only that, but it also actually minimizes wrinkles on your luggage. And your face wrinkles too of course (due to the stress of packing).

If you are feeling industrious, you may want to learn or master the ranger rolling. This folding technique is being used a lot in the military.

Be creative and have fun folding.

6. Spare some space

Everyone loves souvenirs. Yes, I know you will be buying some souvenirs on your trip. So, make a little extra space on your luggage. But Here also giving you some advice that you should also know what not to buy while traveling.

7. Know your airline’s baggage fee policy

Every packing guide will give you this tip, but I’m here to repeat, emphasize, underline, shade it, bold it and circle it in a bright red pen. Know your airline’s baggage fee policy. Give yourself a minute to two to check the airline’s website and look for their luggage policy. There is a maximum kilogram to carry by hand, you should know that.

Don’t be lazy. Open your browser and go online. There are plenty of resources online. A fast Google before you commence packing can help save you loads of stress (and possible overweight fees!).

8. Prepare liquid bags

Separate the liquids. Never ever mix them all together with your clothes and electric wires. Prepare a clear pouch or bag so you can easily see your liquids and so you can easily pass through security checks.

9. Pack mini versions of your liquids

This is very essential. There is no need to bring the whole liter. Just get packs or sachets of shampoos. Please, put away your bottles of liquids. The full-sized bottles are not necessarily. There is absolutely no reason for you to bring them.

It is not worth bringing unnecessary weight giant bottles of your liquids. Many travelers are still practicing this. Check if you can buy some toiletries for example, at your landing destination.

10. Bring A Bag For Dirty Laundry

If you are traveling for a couple of days or weeks, bring a bag for your soiled laundry. Make sure to bring a closable bag for soiled laundry. You never want to mix up your dirty clothes with fresh ones, right? Keep your stuff separated. Also, as much as possible get a bag that seals or zips up. Why? Because you have smelled soiled laundry already before, right?

11. Heaviest Items should be on the bottom of your luggage

Every traveler must know this. This is an overrated tip already. I should not be repeating this anymore, but I think I have to. When packing luggage, make sure to put your heaviest items at the bottom. Preferably place the heavy things where the wheels are to keep away the items from randomly toppling over during your travel.

Placing the heavy items at the bottom keeps your luggage stable. Stable luggage means freeing your luggage from your hands without falling on the ground.

12. Always pack your absolute essentials and one outfit change in your carry on

Cleverly packing for a trip means getting ready for the worst, so make sure to bear in mind this bag packing tip in your smart head!

Make sure to pack your essentials and outfit change during your flight in your carry-on luggage. Once you hand over your check-in luggage, you can no longer take it back. So, think before checking in. Make sure to put one outfit change in your carry-on. Imagine yourself wanting to change inside the plane and you don’t have clothes to use as you checked them in. Well, I am telling you now, not good.

So, these are the major packing tips and life hacks for travelers. Always remember that whatever you pack, it gives you impact during your trip. That is why don’t forget these tips with you before traveling. Be clever in packing. Don’t just pack and pack. Use these travel packing tips and tricks for your next vacation and enjoy a worry-free holiday.

Happy trip!
